bit.ly -- This year, we designed and developed a program for supplier managers, Googlers who partner with third parties to get work done. Studies show that once a partner signs a contract with Google there is significant value leakage in cost, quality, and ease. (See References at the end of this article for study citation.) Thoughtful performance management can help minimize this value leakage. We want to have positive, enjoyable partnerships with our suppliers while making sure they continue to deliver quality and value to Google. Effective supplier managers know how to measure performance, manage costs, mitigate risks, and ensure contract compliance as well as have positive supplier relationships.
zite.to -- Earlier this year we discussed how the Internet is revolutionizing education and featured several companies and organizations that are disrupting the online education space including Open Yale, Open Culture, Khan Academy, Academic Earth, P2PU, Skillshare, Scitable and Skype in the Classroom. The Internet has changed how we interact with Time. We can be learning all the time now, whenever we want, and wherever we want. And because of that, we’re seeing explosive growth in online education.
bit.ly -- Andy Petroski and I had the privilege of presenting our work with the Virtusphere in the ‘Emerging Tech’ area at DevLearn’s Expo last week in Las Vegas. Many of you got a chance to see the VirtuSphere as a High Tech Demo at LEEF 2009, and then again as a featured product at LEEF 2010. The DevLearn event gave us a chance to take our demonstration of the Virtusphere to a new level as we highlighted our first steps in developing learning scenarios for the locomotion device with an office walk through.
www.flexdesign.us -- I attended DevLearn for the first time Nov 2-4, 2011. DevLearn 2011, sponsored by the Elearning Guild, is the premiere elearning conference mostly for workplace learning designers though anyone in the “learning” design field could find value in it.
j.mp -- Back from DevLearn, one of the first conferences I and edCetra Training ever attended way back when. I remember being in a booth on a small exhibitor floor with maybe 15 other vendors. That conference, that first conference was my favorite until this year. This year had energy, had some interesting sessions and I had a great time meeting and hanging with some very smart people.

Sponsored by the e-Learning Guild this past week in Las Vegas, DevLearn 2011 has to be one of the best tradeshows in recent memory. The attendees were energetic, the sessions packed with information, and the expo floor was abuzz…and part of that buzz was for Rapid Course!
missbdesign.com -- This year I had the pleasure of attending my first DevLearn conference presented by The elearning Guild. It was a success and I met many great people while manning the booth during the expo, and over dinner with peers of edCetra Training or as they are often referred to as “the cool kids”.
